Rowan's Art 2 - iSketch Online
Curtesy of my magnificent friend Rowan, he has produced yet another wonderful piece for my "galleric" blog.
It his words "It's a little on the... weird side."
In my words "fantastic! you should produce more for me brother!"
With his pictures, it's not about the art or quality but about the feeling and meaning behind it. Thats why it's so cool......
It's a recreation of a drawing he did in the online game called iSketch.
iSketch is basically an online game much like Pictionary, but obvious played on the internet.
It is a game where one is given a word to draw while trying to get as many people to guess that word, as correctly as possible.
Try it yourself it's FUN!!!
www.isketch.net
Now back to the drawing...after looking at this picture what do u think his word was?...i have no idea myself but i'll take a guess and say "Terrorism".
Anyway i'll get the answer off him sum other tyme and post up the answers later

Flexi-Twig Master
Sorry haven't posted for a few dayz....buzy helping my friend with his folio for an interview into university (multimedia design)
Anyway...this a picture i prepared earlier...
I drew this picture like...5 years ago.....(see..i did prepare it earlier .. i wasn't lying)
It is meant to be a drawing of a master and his student. Actually it may just be the same person showing both a younger and older version of himself. Then again it could be father and son "school of twig mastery".
ok i'll let u guys guess first, then i'll tell you what my original intention was.
They are meant to be carrying a short stick or what i like to call em "Flexi-Twig". It's liken to the green flexible stick Chow Yun Fat used in "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" when he was trying to correct Zhang Zhi Yi in her swordplay.
Who needs a sword when you got a green "flexi-twig"!!!

Buddha Palm Travolts
Man i at the rate i'm going i wouldn't have any decent pictures to display anymore......
I should try to limit like 1-2 a week instead of 1 a day.
Anyway this is pretty much what i have to show today so far....messy, unfinished and very sketchy....then again this IS Lony's Sketchpad so don't be expecting any awesome, colored or sexy finished products.
1) I Just don't have the time
2) I never finish my works anyway..i tend to pass it on to others to do my dirty work ;)
Ok this is a characture of my friend Johnny "Travolts". After several A2 pages of full attempts over a period of several months i finally managed to draw him.
And this is the best resemblance i got.......pathetic eh?...oh well.. still good.
If it where possible i'd make him a secret character in a game that u can unlock. After unlocking he would fly around doing the Buddha Palm technique.
By the way this friend of mine is an awesome graphic designer that is almost ..if not...a veteran in the business. If anyone requires any type of design work please do not hestitate to drop it and ask.
I will forward the message to him.

Evolution of a DJ
After yesterdays day of sports in the blistering cold winds, i am still pooped and a little sickish.
Fortunately my running nose has not won the olympic gold as yet else i' be bed riddened and i would not be able to showcase my joyous pics for today.
This picture was probably done 3 years ago for a friend to promote a DJ for a club night. It was meant to supplement his club pass design.
The theme was "Evolution of a DJ"
Unfortunately i have never seen the colored, finished version of the pic nor have i even seen the club pass it was on. I should ask him one day. i have lost the pencilled version so i've put up the inked version. Though i ain't the greatest inker alive please just like it anyway.... ><
Anyway i feel knacked...it's about time i go horizontal for a bit

Personal Characterisation
I drew this picture probably early this year for a friend. Note i said the word "recent" previously....were recent to me is anything i've done during the year as i dont draw very often due to the busy-ness of work.
My jolly friend (Duy) is supposedly undergoing a university project to produce an online game. Without any discussion i was fuelled to surprise him with some character designs. This was one of the ideas i came up with....actually i kinda based it on myself...though i am not that cool or good looking. But waht the heck, nevertheless it makes a good character. Unfortunately it is not finished hence cannot be used till i do complete it.
You may be wondering what kind of stance is he doing in the "right" pose. It's meant to be an exaggerated version of wing chun fook sao (with closed fist). Though it is also used it tai chi freestyle push hands but with open palm that is.
Anyway hope to post more sketches in the future.

Introduction - Rowan's Art
Now you may all be wondering.....why not built a flash folio website to do such a thing instead of using this boring blog system that is really meant to be used as a online diary type thing.....
...............two words pals......TOO.......LAY.........ZEE.
Unfortunately i have yet to scan any of my pictures in so i will have to showcase one of my friends pic that i absolutely adore and love.
This was done freehand ...probably via mouse and most likely with ms paint or msn freehand.
The artist's named is Rowan. His is a graduate electrical engineer who has a great interest in robotic technology as u can see from the above picture. It is a robot, Version 2.0, designed to barbeque sausages or other seasoned meats above a bin of fire. The RF antennas are used for the purpose of measuring the water content of the product. If water content is below threshold the meat is deemed to be cooked. Please dont ask me how it works as i have no idea. Anyway good on you Rowan!
Thanks alot and cheers
